We’d like to introduce our exciting new “Book Club” program! The goal is simple … help make you a bigger, better, stronger development professional. Each month, we’ll showcase an industry-specific book designed to either enhance your current skill set or introduce you to a new technology, process, solution, or coding platform. Each featured book comes with a complimentary chapter to get you started. We are working with different publishers to ensure a rich variety of books to pique your interest.
Our first featured book is for those of you interested in Software as a Service (SaaS). “Engineering Software as a Service: An Agile Approach Using Cloud Computing” teaches essential Software Engineering skills via designing, building, testing, and deploying SaaS Web applications in the cloud. Authored by two University of California at Berkley Professors, Armando Fox and David Patterson, our featured publication was originally designed as a one-semester college course written in response to employer’s feedback about recent graduates’ missing SaaS skills; equally important as coding and debugging. This book is neither a step-by-step tutorial nor a reference book. Instead, it brings a diverse set of software engineering topics together to help you get started in the field. Jump on into cloud computing with this complimentary chapter: Introduction to SaaS and Agile Development.
